Anyone can contribute designs to the Inkd marketplace in just a few easy steps. Simply sign up, create a new graphic design submission using our product templates and upload your design files. Our staff will review your design, and once it’s accepted Inkd visitors will see the product for sale in our marketplace. Customers from all over the world can easily purchase and download your design without any other action by you. We take care of all order processing and support, and send you a payment when your designs are sold. You can join up and start selling right away!
Any designer can set up an account for free. You need to be at least 18 years old and agree to our terms and conditions but other than that, you simply need to be creative! Not every design is accepted so that means that the customer experience on Inkd is rewarding and inspirational. Once you're signed up and you've uploaded your designs, you are set to start earning money on every sale.
At the moment, Inkd accepts designs for most popular print form factors used in global business. This includes brochures, business cards, letterhead, envelopes, post cards and more. You start creating a new product by simply signing up and logging into your admin area. Select "Create a New Product" from the left-hand navigation and upload your submissions!
When you create a new product, you'll follow a simply step-by-step wizard process. To get going, you'll need to tell us whether you are creating a brochure, letterhead, business card, notecard etc. Then, tell us which size you'd like to upload. We accept both American and standard European ISO formats such as A4 etc.
Nobody has ever tried to do what we're doing at Inkd. That is, to build a user-generated content marketplace specifically for professional print designs. To help designers get going and to insure continuity with our designs, we ask designers to start with our "base template". This is a blank template that has bleed and cut lines already set up to get you going. Be sure to use our templates when you start designing so that we can get your design approved faster!
Once you've downloaded one of our print templates upon which you based your design you are ready to start selling in the world's first print marketplace. Upload your design and all the supporting files that your design relies on. This includes any fonts which you have rights to distribute and stock photography used in your design. Some designers even include a preview PDF which our review team really likes.
Once you've uploaded your design, you need to help people find it! So, give your design a descriptive title and use a fair number of useful, descriptive tags. Most designers will use about 20-30 tags to help their designs be found by shoppers. (Don't "tag stuff" your design with hundreds of tags because our design community manager doesn't like that and might give you a hard time.) When your design sells, you will get a notification email of the amount owed to you. Be sure to read our commissions policy so you understand how this works!
